I wonder if they're just so pissed about losing their bacon that they're just throwing out random irate-sounding words?
I can understand- not agree with, but understand- some of the source of rage. People don't like change, especially when it's a symptom that their entire culture is shifting a bit. I deal with a lot of customers on the phone, and every once in a while I'll get some drunken idiot on the phone complaining that our computer phone system has an option for Spanish on it.
I myself would mostly just be royally be pissed off about the bacon.
I mean, I find religious dietary restrictions entirely contemptible- they're pretty much one of the stupidest things in the world (part of this is residual bitterness from a girl I hooked up with on New Years Eve talking to me for an hour about kosher laws... long story, but I digress). But hey, whatever, if your god hates shellfish or something that has touched a piece of cheese, or you can't eat beef because some goddess back in the day really, really liked cows... whatever. It takes all kinds, and a couple of my best friends are vegans.
But when you take away my BACON, ma'am... you are threatening my very way of LIFE!
