I manage to pronounce "gibberish" wrong all the time. Darth_Katie Send a noteboard - 14/02/2010 03:48:46 PM
I think my brain is connected to my mouth wrong.

Little bored, hope this survey amuses. If not you know where to send complaints ;)

Do you find it ironic that we place safety labels on devices that are often so blatantly obvious that presumably only the illiterate, who can not read them, would actually benefit from that warning?

I love it when there are crazy safety warnings that you would never even think of using the object in question for ... like "do not eat" on clearly inedible things. You know that warning's only there because someone tried it ... I've seen "Do not use while sleeping" on a hairdryer, that was a good one. Thanks for the heads up, I'll try not to dry my hair in my sleep. :D

Are there any warning labels you can think of that would be even more wasted, e.g. Replacing 'In God we trust' on pennies with 'Warning: Do not insert into electrical outlet'.

Hmmm ... how about "do not eat" on rat poison? :P

Have you ever messed around with something trying to get it to work, then realized it wasn't plugged in?

Yep. I used to plug the a/v inputs in my playstation into the wrong holes all the time. I also am really good at putting batteries in the wrong way. It's a practiced skill. :|

Was the object in question a penny?

No. I generally do not mess around with pennies. Though I found one from 1926 once! I wanted to keep it forever, but then I lost it. Like two hours later, actually. Alas. ;)

Have you ever been looking for your keys, checked your pockets like a dozen times, then actually found they were in your pocket?

I have misplaced a pen I was holding in my hand.

Alternatively, for the visually impaired, have you ever tried to find your glasses then realized you were wearing them?

Yes, yes I have. When I used to wear contacts I would try to adjust my glasses when I wasn't actually wearing them. :D

Have you ever taken a Rorschach Test?

I took an online one once. It told me my strongest quality was kindness.

If yes, did you wonder why they kept showing you pictures of you murdering your parents and torching down your house?

Nope. I was actually wondering why the multiple choice answer set didn't include options for all the crazy dragons and stuff that I saw. :D

What is your favorite oxymoron?

I am a fan of Microsoft Works. Jumbo Shrimp is another good one.

Did you know that Oxymoron is itself an oxymoron?

Not before I read your reply to Lorraine. :D The word oxymoron makes me think of stupid oxen.

Have you ever been on top of a very high structure and felt the need to spit off the side?

No, spitting is gross. xx( I have felt the urge to drop something though.

If yes, did you do so?

No. :[

Did you ever hope Wile E. Coyote would just one time catch the Road Runner... then brutally eviscerate him?

Yes, I was very frustrated on Wile E. Coyote's behalf. He tried so hard. There's probably some kind of deep philosophical point in there.

What about Tom & Jerry?

I didn't like Tom and Jerry as much as I liked the Roadrunner and Coyote. I really loved them when I was little, I though they were hilarious.

What is your favorite Ben & Jerry's ice cream flavor?

Pistachio!

Do you find it ironic that we use the word Onomatopoeia to describe words which are not only phonetically spelled in pronunciation but basically in meaning as well?

I think it's really interesting, actually! I find the history and growth of languages fascinating. I hope someday I can take a linguistic anthropology/psychology class or something, that would be awesome. :D

What is your favorite comic book or cartoon Onomatopoeia?

I am a fan of BOOM.

Did you just look up Onomatopoeia? (Be honest)

No.

Are you lying?

Cross my heart.

Do you believe that Pink Flamingos can effect the weather?

No ... ? Am I missing a reference here?

Which would you rather _____ ___, Paris or Las Vegas?

Probably Paris; Las Vegas is a place I have no desire to go to.

Did you just mentally insert 'travel to' or 'blow up' in the question above?

I inserted "blank blank" mentally the first time I read it, actually. But I think my answer has been tainted by reading this question after I read that one but before replying, and then everyone else's answers as well. HOW TERRIBLE.
Insert theme music here.
