It looks like we may lose three in under a year; my mom's debating whether to put the Yorkie to sleep even now. He's coughing a LOT, so she took him to an ER vet yesterday. They said he has a nearly completely collapsed trachea (this is common with Yorkies apparently) and that while they could put in a stent that normally doesn't go well. Contrast this with what our regular vet told us when she mentioned what was a mild cough last week: That in six or seven years he'd never heard of a dog dying from it (he was the one who said Yorkies are predisposed) and the worst case was a dog who needed a stent when he was in vet school.

So in addition to Fella (who seems INCREDIBLY active, happy and hungry now) I'm also asking for some thoughts and prayers for Wags now, please. Sorry (on multiple levels) to bring it up again but I'm at the end of my tether (again, on multiple levels. ) I won't ask again; I'm kinda out of dogs.
