True, you are probably better educated now and further down the marginal benefit curve than you really believe. That's a point worth appreciating. However, if hope, ambition, curiosity, or whatever is making you happier now, then her analysis may be flawed for not taking that into account. Being happy takes practice. Your future happiness is dependent on your current happiness.
