Since I'm disabled... vandevere Send a noteboard - 07/02/2010 06:14:36 PM
Autism, but don't worry; life's fun right now...

Wherein lies the source of your motivation to live life?

Really, it's to grab as much fun from life as I can. Since my disability bars me from doing most of the things people take for granted-career, marriage, and children-fun seems the way to go.

What aspects of the human condition do you thrive on, and which would you rather do without? Which could you never do without?

Creativity of any kind is a profound need for me. Art, Drama, Literature, and music. I would be lost without those. As for things I could do without...Conflict, pure and simple. From simple arguments between two people, up to gigantic global wars, conflict is a hateful thing, and so unnecessary most of the time...

Here's a list of things; Career, Friendships, Family, Love, Marriage, Travel, Money, Sex, Education, Possessions...

Now do something with this list, maybe you'd like to rank them, maybe write something about one or a few or all of them. Add to that list, take away.

Friendships are needs, and, since we can't really live without it, money is good too. Just having a life where you are basically content-and you don't need to be wealthy to have that-is important for me. Thankfully, that's a space where I am right now; for which I thank God daily

If the human brain were so simple we could understand it, we would be so simple we couldn't understand it.
