So OK, Guinness tastes alright to me, but be honest... does beer actually taste as good as Coke or Coffee?
It tastes much better - I have never developed a strong liking for coffee, it is nice once in a while but that is it. I pretty much stopped drinking fizzy drinks a few years ago, to try and reduce my sugar/ chemists lab in take and now when I drink them, they just don't taste that nice. Even before that though, a good beer was far nicer in flavour than coke.
Interesting. I chug down coffee and coke in copious quantities (nice sentence that), so I may have developed a caffeine addiction, thus biasing my tastes. Also, I don't drink beer that often, this may have inhibited me. A pub-crawl is needed as a fact gathering exercise (see my above reply to Reb).
Which beer do you usually drink?
