I mean, many schools make it required reading, and while every generation needs its own new old story, that book has worn remarkably well. You'd think becoming mainstream to the point of being PART of the establishment would taint it with the young ( "If my dad loved it, it must be lame" ) but it tends to be on the short list of books kids are forced to read and then grateful they did. Never trust anyone over 91, I guess.
