Hats off to the Crimson Tide for going undefeated and claiming the national championship. However, I just don't feel they are the true champions. Colt McCoy's injury completely changed the course of that game. Let me explain.
For those of you not too terribly familiar with football, there is no other sport played that places so much emphasis on one player, i.e. the quarterback of a football team. Quarterbacks literally decide the outcome of football games.
So the fact that Colty McCoy was the main cog in the offense and the main reason Texas went 13-0 this season should give you a hint of what happened last night when he got injuried on the very first series. But you know what, injuries are part of the game. I think most of the blame should fall on the Texas coaching staff for not having a viable backup option should anything ever befall Colt McCoy. Alambama is the national champion, I can't dispute that.
But you know...damn, as a football fanatic, I am completely bummed about last night. That was not the game I anticapted for a month. That was not the game football fans deserved. In my mind, this championship will always have a taint, however small of one. What do you think?

That is an issue for the fans, I don't see how it taints the victory. *NM*

Myself? It only bothers me if it has been a really close game then completely changes to one sided
