1. Do you have misgivings about getting into steel cans with wings and hurtling miles above the earth?
1a. WHY NOT?
2. If you do, how do you distract yourself during the particularly horrible time called "takeoff?"
2a. Is takeoff not your least favorite time?
2b. What is?
3. Provide hugs and reassurance that this voyage, like every single one I've taken before, will not end in horrible disaster.
4. Seriously how do you not want to cry when you go into a plane IT IS TERRIFYING

But seriously, I have done it so much and so often that it doesn't bug me. Besides, when you Dad is a pilot...you wind up doing much more dangerous maneuvers than taking off, landing, and an occasional turn. Loops, Barrel Rolls, Nose Dives...Like a Roller Coaster...but with Pops right there beside you...and thousands of fee in the air!2. As for Take-off and Landing...think of it like being on a roller coaster...just sit back and enjoy the thrill as you pushed into your seat!
3. No. Suck it up and take it like a Dude, unless you are a chick...then suck it up and take it like a Chick!
(That was for the hugs). Flying is the safest way to travel. You have a greater chance of falling in the bathroom than something happening on a plane!4. I don't find it that terrifying. More exhilarating. Like Skiing or Snowboarding, Rock Climbing. Being on the side of mountain and looking out over the vast beauty that surrounds you.

The silly thing is that I fly at least twice a year, and more if you count individual flights.
