Motorcycles are very image-defining though, and I just couldn't pull off a cruiser. 
Those are for cool, laid back, leather-jacket-wearing dudes. That's just not me. Sport bikes are where it's at for guys who aren't particularly cool or macho. A more athletic image, I suppose. heh. Just seemed more me.
In any case, it's also hard to find a cheap cruiser. I guess a buehl (sp?) blast is close, but still not quite. I can't think of anything in the Ninja's price range that wouldn't look stupid with saddlebags.
