you would know that the called play was not a roll out pass. McCoy rolled out because Nebraska's D-line didn't give him any other options unless he wanted to take the sack (which would have made the FG even harder).
I believed the intended play was for McCoy to run with it and go down in the center of the field to set up a better angle for the kicker.
Oh well, it all worked out in the end, and the forces of good prevailed.
