If you missed me on the last night of wotmania.. @my Send a noteboard - 01/09/2009 07:19:50 PM
you probably already know this, but I'll share it again, for those that don't know.

Sunday night while watching TV and stuff, my heart was doing this fluttery thing. It didn't hurt, but it definitely felt weird. I didn't think too much of it, as, well, it did NOT hurt even a little.

To be honest, I thought "panic attack".

I didn't think much past that, and went to bed.

I got up in the AM, and felt pretty awful. But not in a "fever" or "flu" sort of way. I figured that I just didn't get enough sleep, and got ready for work as usual.

Once I got to work, I felt that I was getting sicker, but again, i sucked it up and moved forward. I then started to notice a dull achy pain in my left arm. I watered the plants, opened the office.. and it was still there.

So I called my boss to tell her I was going to the hospital. She insisted that I call an ambulance (there's a photo of this, but I look absolutely horrible, so I'm not sharing, so there). The fire dept., ambulance company and local police all show up.

Oh the dramz.

I get to the hospital and have several blood tests, a stress test and am told that when the stress test comes back, I'll be able to go home (provided all is well).

Unfortunately, the results were inconclusive. So I was lucky enough to stay the night.

I stayed the night, and woke up to the man in the room next to mine (for clarification, they are more like stalls, in that there are walls, but no doors, just curtains where the doors would go)was masturbating. Yes, it was a lovely way to wake up. How do I know this? Well, lets just say, if he was actually hurting that much, he'd have called a nurse. And it lasted about as long as.. well, once it stopped, it didn't start again. So yeah, it was definitely that. Lovely, eh?

I get the next test in the morning (a PET scan btw..) they injected me with this radiated stuff to make my heart glow, but luckily (again!) it also made me want to vomit and made my head think it was going to explode. Other than that, it wasn't a big deal. lol.

Then I went back to my room to wait.

Two cardiologists came in about an hour later, and told me that everything showed that I was fine, and that I could go home.

I found out after my ride arrived, that I couldn't go home, that I had to wait for the PET scan results.

Communication is a lovely thing.

A couple hours later, those results also arrive. And that's when I found out that I'm indeed ok. I did not have a heart attack (thank goodness) nor are any of my arteries blocked.

So here I am.

Life is good.

:)
