What if your favorite type of food to eat? Not talking cuisine or specific dish here, but what general flavor/texture profile just makes you drool all over the table?
I like soups of all kinds. I make soup at least once a week.
What is your favorite cheese? Anyone who says "American" will be put out of their misery.
Is Velveeta a cheeese? Ha, kidding. I like sharp cheddar quite a lot.
Do you eat any foods that are highly atypical of your region/culture? If so, give some examples.
Um, no, not that I can think of.
Do you ever eat something just because you have no idea what it is but totally want to find out? I'm not referring to food on the floor.
That's how I tried calimari.
What is your favorite cut/form/type of meat? Vegetarians, you can put your favorite protein source
Ummmm, I like all kinds of meat. A good brisket is always a favorite, and I like pork chops and chicken.
What is your favorite vegetable? Fruit?
Green beans. Watermelon. And it was HARD to answer that one.
Are you a chocolate person?
Myeh. Chocolate is ok, but I admit I don't get all the obsession people have with it.
Beer, wine, or the hard stuff?
Forced to choose, I'd say vodka.
Favorite international cuisine?
Toss up between Chinese and Mexican.
Are there any foods you're a total picky elitist about?
MEXICAN. I have an aunt who was married to a man from Mexico for years and taught the whole family to do it up right. We used to go to New Mexico twice a year when I was a kid and buy tons of dried red chiles so that we could make our own red chile sauce. I'm uber picky about good Mexican food.
What is your guilty "omigod this is so bad for me" pleasure?
I'm a total condiment whore. I LOOOOOVE salad dressings and sauces and dips and just about any kind of condiment you can name. And they're usually really bad for you in the quantities which I consume them.
Do you, in fact, truly love food?
I'm from the South, baby. Of COURSE I do.
