What if your favorite type of food to eat? Not talking cuisine or specific dish here, but what general flavor/texture profile just makes you drool all over the table?

I L-O-V-E good pizza. The right mixture of warm bread, cheese, sauce, and meat is out of this world!

What is your favorite cheese? Anyone who says "American" will be put out of their misery.

Well, I am lactose intolerant (the pills don't work very well), so certain cheeses hit me hard while others aren't too bad or bad at all. Unfortunately, given how much I like pizza as stated above, mozzarella screws me up bad. I find cheddars to be best for digestion. I like a good quality cheddar, usually medium or sharp.

Do you eat any foods that are highly atypical of your region/culture? If so, give some examples.

Good old hamburgers (American)? :P

Do you ever eat something just because you have no idea what it is but totally want to find out? I'm not referring to food on the floor.

Nope. I'm a meat and potatoes kind of guy. I really like a good portion of meat and then something like a buttered up baked potato and a house salad with vinaigrette. I don't get too fancy.

What is your favorite cut/form/type of meat? Vegetarians, you can put your favorite protein source :D

Beef for sure but I like chicken too. Game bird is really yummy and I like fish too. Pork is OK but I don't eat it too often. I never eat ham. I also don't usually care for cold cuts although I'll eat some roast beef or smoked turkey once in a while.

What is your favorite vegetable? Fruit?

I wish I liked veggies more but I just never have. I'd prefer some radishes or celery over most. Green onions are good with a little salt too. Baby carrots are a nice snack.
I like bananas, clementines and tangerines (but not usually full size oranges), different berries (blueberries are my all time favorite), and once in a while a granny smith apple (I can't stand other types of apples).

Are you a chocolate person?

Mheh. Once in awhile, usually in an ice cream or a snickers bar.

Beer, wine, or the hard stuff?

I quit drinking in January and don't miss it at all. I will probably have Sam Adams Winter Ale a few times. I do like wine and would still drink it but I just haven't. The only liquor I used to really like is vodka, I was never a bourbon or whiskey guy.

Favorite international cuisine?

I love really good Thai food.

Are there any foods you're a total picky elitist about?

I have an aversion to mayonaise/miracle whip. I have not eaten either on purpose in probably over 20 years. I don't know that I have ever asked for either even before that. I don't know how the aversion was formed but I WILL puke if I ever swallow that stuff. I've had a few incidences over the years where it was put on something I put in my mouth and I immediately knew. It resulted in me spitting the food in the closest garbage and rinsing and spitting all remnants out until I was sure there was none left. I also do not eat meatloaf. I have an aversion to that too.

What is your guilty "omigod this is so bad for me" pleasure?

Pigging out on pizza or eating too much ice cream.

Do you, in fact, truly love food?

No.
But wine was the great assassin of both tradition and propriety...
