In regards to what you would consider a "Christian" funeral. I understand that this is a difficult time for you as well, as being involved in something of this nature, but I'm curious as to what you say in these regards....
I'm in total agreement that a funeral is not the time/place for a "recruitment hour". Then again, no church should ever be trying to recruit people from one church to go to another. This isn't a competition...
So is that what you're talking about, or are you talking about presenting a salvation message to those at the funeral? The two are very different things. Let's remember, that if the mother/grandmother are not believers, then there is *absolutely no hope* that they will ever see that baby again.
What comfort can you impart to the unsaved in regards to any death, let alone that of a child? I've been to some sad funerals in my time, but none are worse than a funeral of someone who didn't believe in Jesus Christ as their personal Lord & Savior. Why? Because in that case, there is no hope...there is no peace...and death is hardly a release.
This is certainly a sad time, but lets remember that there is only one who can impart comfort...and who is named the Prince of Peace.

Do you think Christ would "present the salvation message" or do you think he would just live it?

Funny....I remember Christ both living His message, as well as preaching
