Obviously I don't think they're the same situation.


I know that someone who has held the same position about global warming for thirty years, based on sound science, and who is putting his money where his mouth is, is not in way shape or form the same as Cheney and Halliburton. The article speaks for itself. He is doing nothing wrong. In fact, I applaud him for investing in green technologies.

But you and I will not agree with the other side. They either doubt global warming's existence or don't see it as a problem. And Gore will be vilified by them or inaccurately compared.

You know the United States is fucked up when the existence of global warming is being debated here. Nowhere else is it debated. The media here want you to think its being debated, but it's not. With a few notable exceptions, it is accepted elsewhere. As accepted as evolution.

Science has always had a hard time of it in the US.
