First there was the electoral fraud coupled with the exile of the previous head of state. Then there were the guerilla insurgencies and child suicide bombers. Well, the army had to step to try to settle things down, but that just led to the unconstitutional coup d'état. Which, in turn, led to the priest massacre, the subway bombings and the river bandits. Of course, the drug lords haven't been too happy; not being able to ship "the good stuff" downriver has put a crimp in their territory expansion plans. I'm guessing they're going to threaten further attacks on the Red Cross convoys trying to help the million-odd civil war refugees who have set up camp in the next valley over. And to think our government completely funded them twenty years ago; looking back on it, that was a pretty dumb decision, huh?
