This, to me, is the most likely reason he won. Has he done anything worthy of a peace prize? No. But he's talked up a lot of great intentions, and the committee is trying to bribe/guilt him into actually following through. I'm not sure this is entirely a bad use of the prize if it gets results, but I can't help but think that it cheapens it into little more than a political tool. In my opinion, a prize should be a recognition, not an incentive.
