Most of the regular political posters here are more in favour of Israel's policies and loathe Hamas - so was expecting to have to criticize the former and defend the latter. To the limited extent that I'm willing to do that, anyway.
I bite my tongue for it is not one problem or two problem but a knot of dozens of problems. A true Gordian Knot but the solution of alexander does not work unless both sides want peace or if one side has so much overwhelming firepower that the other side with lesser power is then able to self rationalize surrender into a thing they truly want for peace is better than revenge fantasies.
I can't solve this mess and solving it needs good faith on both sides before you even start peace discussions and since you can instill faith from the outside...might as well not jump into this well of abyss that is the Middle East and specifically the Israeli / Palestine situation.
