After 60-90 minutes, there really is a difference, I've noticed

I enjoyed running and wish I had stayed with it when I got out but it killed my knees. Not sure how much of a difference there between five miles and 10K but 3 to 5 really want that different. Just takes longer.

I bring along gels and chews for those runs, along with a handheld bottle filled with an endurance drink like Tailwind or Liquid IV. Otherwise, I'd "bonk" by 7-8 miles due to loss of electrolytes and carbs.
10K is 6.21 miles, so only 2K more, more or less. 21.1K is roughly a half marathon in metric terms.

I'm not a distance runner. I never did more than 5 miles at once.

And I've seen several in their 60s and 70s running 3-6 miles (some faster than me)
