My memory is that I was able to buy the third immediately after reading the first two (did not have to wait) but I, of course, had to wait for every additional book afterwards, and by the time the series wrapped up, had spent nearly a decade in a "I don't really read nonfiction, except for WoT when it gets released) and back into a person who reads fiction occasionally.

What I'm trying to say is, waiting and I are old friends, and if it never happens, that probably also works for me.

The main issue I have with a TV adaptation is that all of the better TV shows nowadays are dark and gritty and WoT was essentially written for teenagers. I doubt it will be able to be successfully adapted.

Hollywood has the best moral compass, because it has compassion.
