You're talking about Spicer's incompetence. RT is talking about how focusing too much on all the stupid things Trump / his administration say is dangerous because it distracts attention from what they actually do. You're not disagreeing so much as simply having two entirely different conversations at the same time.

I do think you should consider RT's point when he says that in some cases, the Press Secretary becoming the story himself IS good for the president - when it diverts attention from another, more significant topic that's getting too much press attention for Trump's taste. It may not necessarily be the case here, but it certainly seems like Trump uses such a tactic from time to time.
