I wonder how that's going to play out? In the book, it was about evenly split between the adventure as kids and the reunion/resolution to the conflict as adults. It's been a long time since I read it, so I couldn't say for sure whether or not the kids' part stands up on its own merits.

I am assuming/hoping they cut the sex bit.

Also, I don't get the clown thing. I don't see what's funny or scary about them. I mean, from a small child's perspective, knowing that there is something Not Right about that person's face, yeah, that makes sense, but I don't get why adults carry on about them. Nor do I understand their point as entertainment.
