Sorry but no matter how many loopy law professors or liberal faux journalist make the claim the simple fact is the Constitution doe3s not require the Senate act on a nomination. It give the Senate the responsibility to advise and consent but it also gives them power to decide how and when they do that. I know the hard core Kool-Aid swellers on the left cannot be swayed but facts but I would to see what clause from the Constitution you think over rides the ones saying make their own rules and requires that they give a hearing to the president's nominee. Hey while you are point to part that says there has to be 9 justices.
