My feeling is that Trump isn't a conservative at all. Even his competitors say so. He was a Democrat until 1987 and his favourite modern president was Bill Clinton. Before he entered the race he said that Hillary would be an excellent president. So basically he's using the party for his own ends. I actually think he'll be very liberal but will do certain 'tyrannical' acts. He's very serious about the wall so I think that will happen, as well as a scorched earth tactic in the Middle East.

If things go well Trump will moderate his views thanks to hopefully more level-headed advisors. All presidents have big goals until they enter the White House, at which point I'm sure that they are exposed to what the world is really like and can't change much. Trump must be level-headed to be a real estate billionaire, but there's no doubt that he's also impulsive and ultra-narcissistic. For this reason there may be a few scary executive orders as well as strained international relations. I wouldn't put it past him to tell his allies and Putin what he thinks of them when things don't go his way. If things go badly he might face impeachment over certain issues but I think this is unlikely. I think he genuinely wants to make America great again, and I can't say I disagree with many of his opinions despite the fact that I consider myself to be a liberal democrat.

Trump has something that is very valuable to voters... he's not tainted by decades of politics. Everything that comes out of Cruz and Rubio's mouth makes me want to be sick because it's all so prepared and loaded with buzz words. I think Clinton will be a great president - there are very few people in the USA with her experience, but the woman is pure evil and I'd be surprised if she said anything truthful or genuine in the election. It's standard political bullshitting, and she's the worst of them. She'd probably eat her husband to get what she wants. There's a genuineness about Trump that I think actually exists. No billionaire hasn't bulldozed people but this is a new arena for him, and I think he will effect what he promises. I listened to a speech of his last week and his stats on Obama are frightening. He's probably the worst president since Carter, maybe ever.

The other Republicans are a complete joke - that party often attracts the psychos. Cruz thinks the US is a theocracy and the Bible is basically all that he cares about. He's only marginally less insane that Santorum. Jeb Bush was a disaster from the beginning and listening to Carson answer every question with 'because I'm a neurosurgeon...' was hellish. It's scary how Republicans focus on issues like abortion and gay marriage when the world is facing issues like ISIS and global recession - the Democrats are actually discussing this. It's easy to when these other issues become insignificant. I think the Republican party is in a sharp decline. There's a strong possibility they will never win an election again unless the previous president was atrocious, which may happen this election. The demographics of the country are shifting and caucasians are slipping as the majority. The Latin and black vote grows yearly, and conservatism is also declining worldwide - which is all ominous for the Republicans.

My feeling, though, says that Clinton will be the next President despite all this background noise.
