I'm stuck in a point of stasis at the moment. I think the main catalyst to my lack of movement is my job, which has cut my salary in half in the past couple of months. It's a restaurant job, but I've worked their for four years and this is the lowest amount of money I've made in that whole time. I haven't entered the looking for work market in so long it's a bit intimidating. Though I did have an interview last Monday.
On the positive side, I've saved up money when things were going better and already booked a Thailand vacation with my best friend (who is a Thai). I'm basically going to circle that country, stay with her family for awhile, maybe play with elephants in Chiang Mai.
I've been studying Thai, it's one of the few things in my life that has any momentum at the moment. I can type and read it quite well, speak it ok, but my listening skills need a ton of work. Nonetheless, learning a language has been one of the funnest things I've undertaken in a long time.
I love hiking too, and general outdoors exploring. I keep itching to do it more, but I live in a city, and even just traveling to the places you can go and hike costs money (like 30$+ tolls and gas). So, I'm in a very confused state at the moment, in just about every way.
