You could get a huge group of people together but if they just sit there looking at each other they'll get bored and leave. I try to engage people around here - I post book reviews, I respond to other peoples' reviews, I post on current events, etc.

If about 30 people did that on a regular basis or more, the site would have some traction.
You're one of about a handful of people I notice doing that, but then how do you respond when there's not much here to say? Trying to come up with stuff on the CMB can be tricky without giving the appearance of trolling or something.
