Romo finished off a great season
I.e. One in which he had other players to pick up the slack. His success this year is due to the Cowboys committing to the run, which was the most effective part of Dallas' game all season, and later in this game. Even if the replay was a bad call (it wasn't), Romo flinging the ball at the end zone, and Bryant not being satisfied with a bird in the hand, and the Cowboys putting the ball in Romo's hands when short yardage had been successful with the run, and much less so when trying to pass so far in that game, all combined to doom them. If Romo settles for just getting the first down with a run or safer pass, their drive is alive. If Bryant settles for making the catch inside the 5, with plenty of time to score (and, even better, the more time they use, the less for Green Bay to come back), the game is in the bag. But no, they had to be glory hounds, and that's what they get. Romo is constantly getting praise for plays like the touchdown that was all Spencer, or Bryant's catch, which if it had been complete, would have been entirely Bryant's effort and accomplishment. This idiot has built a career of tossing the ball into the air in a panic, and waiting for one of his all-pro receivers to run under it and bail him out. Funny how a quarterback Dallas fans love to claim is inferior to Romo did not miss a chance to get his third career post-season win at Green Bay. In more adverse conditions, against a better defense, with nary a Jason Witten or Dez Bryant or DeMarco Murray in his huddle, and a kicker who had an even worse day than Dallas' did yesterday. And eight years younger at the time.
with a great game against a great team and we got a lot further than any rational person thought we would.
Because rational people are aware of the identities of the quarterback and owner.
I think over turning the call was wrong for several reasons including the fact the ball never came loose in contact with ground
It clearly did. Bryant's arm was around the ball, not under it. The ball bounced up, because of an impact from below. It hit the ground and bounced out of his arm. That's an incomplete.
and the fact the role of replay is not to overrule the judgment of the refs on the field
That's exactly what it's for, because they "judge" wrongly all the time. but to pick up things they missed. If in real time he thought taking three steps and lunging for the in-zone was a football move then it should not have been overturned. If it had ruled incomplete and then upheld I would have agreed but I was nothing to justify over turning the call on the field.
Footage of the ball hitting the ground while the receiver was falling down from his jump?
