the problem is I am Not sure he wants to work with Republicans. This new republic in class was going to be less conservative with more moderates. I think he was trolling the Republican Party to try and Poison the Well because he would rather have issues than results.

That is an amazingly cynical perspective.
It is possible that will be the result of his action, but I have a hard time believing that is why he actually did it.
