If you have the minimum requirements to get a free ID from the North Carolina DMV you can get it and vote. If you don't, you are supposed to be voting somewhere else.
I don't care what color a student is, their student ID is not proof of residence in a state, and I think even you are smart enough to realize that an out-of-state driver's license is actually cause to NOT let someone vote - it's evidence that they are residents of another state.
If a person goes to a university in North Carolina, that person either (a) remains a resident of their previous state and votes there or (b) needs to get a NC driver's license.
So what is so hard about getting a photo ID for black people, and why do white people not have these problems?
