otherwise we are dealing with the shitty system that we have which still requires people who have no money to find the money to get insurance, thus providing a captive audience for insurers. if we spent all the money we use subsidizing insurance companies and turned it on a single payer system, we wouldn't have to argue whether or not going to the doctor should be a luxury only available to the moneyed few who can afford it. you do realize that we spend more per capita than everyone else in the world and we don't really benefit from that? why should businesses be on the hook to provide coverage when they could be using that money to invest in, i don't know, more jobs?
