He shouldn't be one of the best stats wise if he was as good as some would like to think. His numbers are so good because he has to be at that point. Because his team and he himself have put themselves into the position of having to have a spectacular 4th quarter. Maybe if he played elite level the other 3 quarters people would get off his back. But here is the thing with Romo. He is often great in the 4th or OT, but when he's bad in those positions, its usually unforgettable. Think the botched field goal all those years ago.
