View original post1. Where does everyone work (feel free to say the industry/sector instead of actual place of employment)?

I work for a company that develops and manufactures data interconnect. What this means is we make very high speed cards and routers (~40 Gbits/s) for server farms and super computers. Like what you got behind your Gmail or Facebook.

I'm a firmware engineer. Means I write software code that runs on our card and tries to fix whatever the HW guys fucked up.


View original post3. Do you think this is your career path for the rest of your working life? Or do you anticipate any changes?

Hmmm... I dunno. I'd like to be a novelist someday. Or maybe just diverge into other fields of software.
