to see how many there had been. If you count from Alfred the Great, who united England in the 880s, then there have been 63 (though if you count Æthelred the Unready twice then it's 64) for the English - UK throne.
For the Scottish to UK throne there have been 60 since Kenneth MacAlpin in 848 (or maybe 843 since it's unclear).
I found that interesting. You'll have caught up in another hundred years or so.
