View original postSo my friends are staying right on Leicester Square, very close to the dark blue, black, and brown lines. I will be meeting up with the m, so ideally I want to be either close or easily accessible. I'm going to let Priceline choose a hotel for me, I just need to give it the neighborhoods I want. What is going to be best, in terms of ensuring easy connection? I figured Soho - Mayfair the best choice safe, now what about Westminster? On the map, it doesn't look like the dark blue/black/brown tube lines go there. Is it connected well by buses? What about Chelsea - Knightsbridge? I want about a 20-30 min distance by walk/bus/tube to Leicester Square, and also preferably near other attractions (so we can use my hotel as a meeting point rather than theirs).
View original postI can't spend days researching neighborhoods, learning bus routes, and choosing a hotel (the way I would for a longer trip), so your help will be very appreciated.
Soho would be good, as would Westminster. Everything around that area is well connected by public transport, and you can always hire a Boris Bike. There are some amazing attractions near Westminster tube (Parliament, Big Ben, the London Eye, great parks, etc. etc.) and Soho has loads of amazing shops and whatnot. Chelsea/Knightsbridge would be too far out I think.
