July 1st untill august 31st. Dunno if it's outdated, but it's true that, especially for working parents like myself, it is becoming increasingly harder to get time off during summer to spend with your kids.

My wife and i have a good solution, there aree weekly summer activities where the older kids can go to. As for our youngest daughter, she's going to daycare, and that will be closed for 4 weeks (mid-july untill mid-august).

Basically, you can't have your vacation when you want to... it's a tad annoying, but we deal with it.
