There's yogurt in some chole recipes.
It could also be a chickpea daal - again some recipes put yogurt in it, depending on the area they're from.
I googled for some images and you may be right. It's just that I liked the texture, I needed to spoon the sauce on the rice cause it was so runny I couldn't use a fork. I'm not sure if I should add water or tomatoes or what so it doesn't end up tasting like water and spices.
