Having had insurance through the same company for 7 years now, I have not had the same plan for consecutive years yet. And the plans I was covered on before through a company my parents had been on for several years, hadn't had the same plan for 4 of the 7 years they were on it. So, honestly, what does it matter?
The baby boomers have been taking there toll on a healthcare system that has been broken for decades. Our system has been broken forever. The thing is, it wasn't broken bad enough to matter until you start to have a large generation starting to need it. The only difference between now and the past is that there is a bill going on so the media is paying attention... the media funded by the insurance companies and politicians...
Sadly, both the Democrats and Republicans are making out like bandits with this whole debacle. Neither side is really interested in the actual outcome. The Dems are trying to get a piece of the healthcare pie that the Republicans have been gobbling with two hands for decades now.
