It is a big deal but let's not get melodramatic here, we already had to put up with moondog's useless insane remarks on the subject we don't need another thread of wild hyper-partisan claims about how the GOP/Dems are all [insert over the top garbage, terrorists and communists seem the current favorites] bent on destroying the country.
glad to see you acknowledge it as a big deal. but as the saying goes: if it looks like a duck and quacks like a duck...
or to paraphrase Jon Stewart's take on the matter: the NY Giants got beat by the Eagles 36-21 yesterday. but they aren't going around saying "give us 16 points or else we shut down the NFL".
your folks lost the last election where the issue of removing Obamacare should have been settled. not only that, but you've had the better part of four years to actually use the legislative process to try to make it into something else. you've squandered your chances to do something useful and now all you have left is extortion and coercion. i could throw sedition in there too since i'm sure impeachment proceedings against Obama will follow the debt ceiling showdown. so if you don't want comparisons to terrorists or other derogatory labels then republicans need to show they have actual ideas. otherwise you're just manufacturing fake outrage in order to get what you want and legislatively behaving like a 3 year old throwing a tantrum.
