It voted RNC twice right before that, then DNC twice before that, then RNC thrice before that Isaac Send a noteboard - 07/10/2013 05:18:31 PM

And that's just for President, the people who voted for a Dem president also voted in a Republican House, twice, and before that a Dem House, twice. The senate slowly meanders about as it has three-election cycle and as a result it rarely has 60% one or the other, typically it's under 55%, which for comparison would be a House of 239-196, a difference that's regular exceeded in the House. It's not just regional either, we regularly get Dem/GOP Governors and Senators in states that voted overwhelmingly for the opposite party's Presidential candidate the cycle before or after or even that same one, even without incumbency.

The intuitive mind is a sacred gift and the rational mind is a faithful servant. We have created a society that honors the servant and has forgotten the gift.

It's pretty fucking sad any of us think we need a reason to act civilly, courtesy is its own reward *NM* - 08/10/2013 07:50:00 AM 499 Views
