if being concerned about how the current state of affairs affects my livelihood makes me hyperpartisan then please give me your address so i can send you a proper dictionary, because yours seems to be defective. i understand you have decided to stick by your party through thick and thin but the whole "dems did it worse than us" meme has become tiresome and does not deflect from the fact that there are too many people in the republican party who are politically closer to nihilists or anarchists than the traditional republican policies of the past.
also, despite the example from my previous post, i highly doubt a group like hamas, FARC or for that matter the Sierra Club is going to seize control of the federal government, issue demands, and threaten to blow up the world economy if their demands aren't met. there is a big difference between the government running out of funding before the budget deadline while a deal is being worked out, and holding the government apparatus hostage as a means to reverse the past two election cycles. or causing a shutdown because the President made you sit in the back of Air Force One. ever since 2010 republicans have been striving to find a reason to shut down the federal government. it was part of the campaign of many of the tea party class of 2010, in fact. in other words, many of the current House republicans got into office specifically to bring us to this moment. now that they've finally gotten their wish, they can't stop high fiving each other long enough to realize that what they are doing is making themselves look like petulant children. you can continue to live in your fantasy world where republicans won the 2012 election, i am done with this thread now.
