consider this my swan song moondog Send a noteboard - 24/09/2013 09:39:02 PM

yeah, i'm basically just ranting up there. nothing more serious than a trolling post expressing my frustration at the stupidity shown by the republicans in the US House and the handful of senators who are following along by catering to the insanity of their base. the last time the US government was shut down it was because newt gingrich wasn't allowed to hang out with bill clinton at the front of air force one. this time it will be because republicans can't stand that Obama is going to take credit for an idea which came from the conservative think-tank known as the heritage foundation. since a good portion of my company's income relies on the US government being operational, i thought i would loose some venom in the general direction of some people i thought could use it, and RAFO has the largest collection of them of any other place i visit online.

i haven't posted here in months because it has felt like RAFO has become an extension of the right wing echo chamber. the non-political posts were few and far between, and even in my absence it looks like very few non-political posts even got any kind of interest whatsoever. my own attempts at non-political posting were mostly met with a major indifference judging from the replies. couple that with all the major outages from earlier this year and i decided that life was better spent doing things that i actually enjoy and unfortunately, RAFO is no longer part of that enjoyment. so the post above, and this one, are my way of stirring the pot one last time before i stop visiting here for good.
