You'd probably be less tired if you removed the distress of us catcalling you and just edited the post to say "Warning: This is political humor aimed at the American right" and apologized to those of us who got it slapped in our face under the implication it was one or two humorous tweets that weren't hyper-partisan rants. Let me demonstrate:
Most people will find <a href="http://www.photoshoppix.com/modules/coppermine/albums/userpics/10004/normal_monkey_cowboy.jpg">this</a> funny, few will find it offensive.
Most people will not find <a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pV56sneYkHA/SszIXryOHtI/AAAAAAAACZ4/wCc0kVnkFRA/s400/ObamaChimp2.bmp">this</a> funny, many will find it offensive.
This does not necessarily mean everyone will find the former funny and none offensive, or that people won't laugh at the latter, many will, I won't even say they are wrong to do so though I bet you will and yet that is exactly what you posted. Point being if someone were to post #2 here, we'd expect them to at least warn people, and we'd probably still rip them up, and even now I doubt you even realize that #2 is literally the same sort of humor you posted us.
Neither pic is inherently offensive, though I see how some might TAKE offense at either. The first is worse in that regard because of its broad brush (though, given the Australian beer, aborigines might be more offended than rednecks,) while the second invokes the See/Hear/Speak No Evil meme with specific respect to Obama.
However, the long lamentable history of using shared geographic origin and dark color to dehumanize blacks as animals makes those pics special. Mugabe saying, "white people should go back to Europe with all the other monkeys," would compound racism with (more) stupidity. Put another way: Has George Allen EVER called his many WHITE political foes "macacas"? Obviously not, making it hard to believe he was not racist when referring to an Indian adversary that way (especially since it is a racial slur in his mothers native North Africa.)
Re-however, the second pic is far closer to Oswalt tweets, because the joke is not "Obama/blacks are orangutans" but "Obama consciously and steadfastly ignores his flaws just as in the old story." That the story uses monkeys is incidental (hence the parable on humanity) just as politics is incidental to Oswalts tweets.
