You could pick a five star restaurant and eat only the worst things on the menu and I have the same affect. I personally am not a big fan of the Golden Arches. The grilled chicken on wheat is OK and $.50 for a soft serve ice-cream is a good deal but about the only time I normally eat there is if I am running late in morning and I get a coffee and egg McMuffin. Other than that the only time you will catch me there is I have a weak moment and let my seven year old talk me into taking her there, doesn’t happen often.
The truth of the matter is though you could eat a balanced diet eating at McDonalds if you made smart food choices. In fact in my area it is easier to make those choices because unlike most other restaurants they list their calories. Pull up a McDonald’s menu and take a look there are good choices to be made on the menu, probably better choices than just about any other fast food restaurant and at least equal to a lot of chain sit down restaurants out there. I would personally hate to live off the stuff but I don’t think anyone is really recommending that just pointing out that for the money and availability you would be hard pressed to find a better deal. I do believe it is such a great deal they actually lose money on it.
