This coverage seems to read as the exact opposit of what Jay was asserting.
Apparently the Defense wanted the judge to explicity state in the jury instruction that following someone is not illegal, and she refused. She also refused to preclude the prosecution from implying in their closing argument that it was.
This exchange would make absolutely no sense is the standard jury instruction in the state of Florida included a passage such as "an aggressor cannot claim self-defense and that a person who aggressively follows another person is an aggressor."
it would also be interesting to find out what "aggressively follows" means as opposed to simply "follows".
