What I said was that it is not particularly easy, at first glance, to see what it is about America that conservatives love so much. Government was one example. (Not loyalty to it, but pride in it.) The environment, and fellow Americans, were others.
You chose to focus on the schadenfreude inherent in the poll represented, and good on you. I, however, focused on the premise, which was not pulled out of a hat, that conservatives are somehow prouder of the country. It's a rhetoric that has been present forever and I am tired of it. So if there was bile, that was its source.
Honestly, though, I don't think there was. A question was asked, concerning what exactly it was about America he loved. Enough of the empty abstract. You can't simultaneously love something and hate everything about it.
