Typically speaking a stunning display of greater geek knowledge covers over a deficiency in another area. For instance knowing Alex Courage wrote the theme music for Star Trek and why he has a bone to pick with Gene Roddenberry would make up for even as egregious a geek-shortcoming as not knowing the standard color of Sith Lightsabers.
