I had pretty much the same experience as her. Evelyn is now 16 months old and even though I need to tone my abs (it's only laziness that makes them somewhat flabby, they'd be toned if I could be bothered but I have better things to do) I'm more or less the same shape I was pre-pregnancy.
The only difference is that I've got slightly wider hips and a bigger ribcage, but the wider hips make my body look sexier and more proportional than it did previously. My feet didn't change size or shape at all (although I did spend the last couple of months on bed rest so who knows what would have happened if I'd been able to walk around normally). The bigger ribcage doesn't bother me; it meant I got to buy new bras and I love buying new bras.
You don't have to want children. But if you do want to have them someday then I'd like to reassure you that not all women have the same experience. For me it has been the most rewarding thing, and right up till the time that Evelyn threatened early arrival I absolutely loved being pregnant and I'm looking forward to when we have our second child.
Being a mother is amazing too.
