But also it just didn't seem to really add much and I liked the Nook interface. I never actually needed the extra memory but I was thinking about using for music at work I just never got around to doing it. I like my gadgets to work without a lot of interaction from me.
I am admittedly not familiar with what you can do with a Nook, but getting root generally just means finding a way to get a Superuser app on the device. You shouldn't have to modify your interface or change what you're booting from. Sounds to me like you didn't have root access on your Nook at all, but found some way to boot an external rom from your SD card. And who knows, maybe that's all you can do with a Nook. *shrugs*
Anyway, doesn't matter, I'm not trying to kibitz, just interested is all.
Yeah, I hear that a lot, but I've never really understood it. I'm perfectly happy working on tech stuff by day, and playing with tech stuff by night. Maybe I'm just not burnt out yet.
