I'm never really sure how hard they are till after the fact Isaac Send a noteboard - 19/05/2013 11:22:24 PM

Ideally they're all middling easy and most geeky or geek-lite persons should get better than 50/50, it's always a craphsoot though, I'll think something is a touch obscure and everybody gets it, then think something is very easy and no one does.

Altered States is a pretty good film, though the special effects are dated enough to make it a touch cheesy.

View original post2 points, haven't seen it. Although Norton is good in anything he does.

Yes, and he's an irritating one for the quizzes because I like to use springboards to the next question and his role in American History X (with Ed Furlong from Terminator 2 and Avery Brooks from Deep Space 9) and Fight Club are both very tempting to use but are not either of them even vaguely Sci-fi but both well know and excellent films.

View original postGot the 1987 and 1997 movies, haven't seen any of the three.

I figured everyone saw those... my alternative for him was to use the film Showgirls, which freakishly wraps back to Alien better.

(4 pts) Robert Heinlein’s aforementioned book is considering a major inspiration of the ‘bug hunt’ flavors of science fiction, along with this 1986 film directed by James Cameron featuring Sigourney Weaver as well as Lance Henriksen and Michael Biehn, who both also starred in a 1984 film directed by Cameron. Name the 1984 film with Henriksen and Biehn, the Actor who co-starred in both that film and opposite Sharon Stone in 1990 film from the last question, the 1986 film with Weaver, and the Character she played.

View original postConfusingly phrased alright, didn't get any of this. Possibly because I haven't seen any of them, although something in the back of my mind did nag me "yes, you really should know this, Cameron is famous for something before Titanic".

Yeah, it was an overloaded one, problem with the circle quizzes is by the time I'm nearly done with them I've got wads of connections juggling around and I wnat to give them honorable mentions

(2 pts) Some year earlier in her career Sigourney Weaver would star alongside Tom Skeritt in this 1979 film about the various problems faced by a freight ship’s crew, including isolation, concerns about the transport of invasive fauna, and the risks involved in field surgery. Name that Film and its director.

View original postClever. No, didn't get it - haven't seen it, but probably should've gotten it all the same.

Hopefully no one gets it, it is meant to be a moment

Neat. I think this one is either very easy, or somehow I got lucky... I did way better than usually. - 19/05/2013 10:30:28 PM 500 Views
